Evanescent

Hello pretty people!!

Life has been pretty maddening for a while for both of us, so neither of us could post anything in the last week. Arpi has returned and will be back to regular posting asap. And I'll be back when I find my sanity.

Saying goodbyes has been the most difficult thing for me throughout my life. I have serious attachment issues, be it places, people, things...I just get attached to them too much (much more than is healthy for me) and it gets really painful when I have to bid them goodbye and move ahead. I know its really stupid trying to hold on to everything that you love, its practically impossible and byes are inevitable. Many things changed in the past few days. I had to shift houses and say goodbye to my old house, a place I really really loved very much. The new place isn't the same, the people around are different and so are the walls that are around me, they are not even the same colour :( Plus , I had to say goodbye to a friend whom I love and treasure very much. He is irreplaceable but then sometimes voids are better than bitter memories. As they say, everybody comes with a purpose, some people are meant to stay and some are to be let go of. I guess he was one of them. Its really sad but then moving on is what life is all about.
I was terribly upset about these stuff and when am in a turmoil, I just wake up in the middle of my sleep and scribble stuff  in my notebook that doesn't make any sense to me when I read it in the morning. Here is one such piece and as always, it is incoherent and misses all the punctuation marks. I didn't add any later.

Evanescent

Pretty bubble
Shining and glimmering
Glistening like a rainbow
The sun shines down
And pop it goes
Just like that illusion that was you
But alas, my love was not like it

Online Shopping has taken huge leaps in the past few years with innumerable websites mushrooming all over. From Clothes to Shoes to Make Up to Jewelry to Books, you name it and you get an e-shop at your service.

My Shopping Experience: I have been browsing and eyeing a few things at Jabong.com for quite sometime now but was skeptical about buying anything. This review request gave me an opportunity to finally plunge in and buy something.
I was on my break from the internet and saw the voucher lying in my mail just a few hours before it expired. So I had to select and order in a hurry.
I found this Royal Blue Kurta from their Kurtas and Kurtis section of Women's clothing and the color had me. :P Here is a pic of the product as given on the website-

After signing up and filling in my shipping details, I placed an order for the about said kurta using the COD option which cost me Rs.39 extra (This extra charge does not apply if you use net banking or your credit/debit card). I received a confirmation call and email within 12 hours and once that was done, I was kept updated about the status of my order through text messages on my phone. I received my order in perfect condition the very next day (the standard time of delivery is by 2-5 days) in a sealed package neatly lined in bubble wrap. Bigger products come in a cardboard box but since my order was just one piece of garment, it came in a package. You can open and check your order immediately after it arrives to ensure everything is as you wanted. The kurta I received is exactly the same as displayed on the website. Here is the package and the product I received-

Please excuse the paint smears on my door,my room was freshly whitewashed. :P

I Loved:
1) The huge collection of products under each category. The categories include Women's, Men's and Kids' Clothing  Shoes, Accessories, Bags, Home decor, Sports equipment, Jewelry, Toys , Beauty Products and more.
2) The layout of the website is extremely user friendly. All the products are tagged under several categories which makes sorting out the product you need from the millions of products available on the website extremely easy and time saving.
3) The introductory Rs.2000 gift vouchers provided for every new customer. Using this voucher, you can redeem a discount of Rs. 500 for every Rs.2000 spent shopping from Jabong.com.
4) They provide COD option of payment. So, you don't have to worry if you are not comfortable with net payment or using your debit/credit cards.
5) Great delivery service. They have their own courier service which makes the delivery of the products super-fast. I got my product delivered in less than 2 days. They deliver on Sundays as well!! How cool is that?

The only flaw that I could find with this website is in the make up section. Great brands like Lakme , Maybelline, Loreal and Lotus were missing. Those and some more could be added in that section.

Overall, I am really satisfied with my purchase and it was a good experience shopping from Jabong.com

When Swarnali met Arpita

Hola bloggy-dosts!

I'm back after my month long break from the internet. I missed blogging and the interaction with all of you. How have all you been? Will get to reading and commenting on your wonderful posts as soon as I can. Also, I'm so glad to see how well Arpi has taken care of my blog and that she has really bonded well with all of you. So she is away in China as she already informed in her last post. I hope she has access to blogger there because am dying to read the last part of 'When it Rained' (am sure you are waiting for it too). If she can't I'll be posting  it on her behalf once she completes and mails it to me. Arpita will be a regular guest blogger at Dreams n Drama. So, lets formally welcome her here (for I couldn't do that before I left).

Welcome to Dreams n Drama , Arpita !! *

And so in the meanwhile, my Masters classes started and I almost had a mini heart attack when I saw the syllabus for first year but then I was happy thinking I would be able to do texts of my choice from it. But as luck would have it my joy was very short lived and we came to know that the syllabus is fixed and we won't get any choices apart from the ones taught in class. *sob sob* This is so not fair, absolute murder of democracy. But who is listening to us students? I guess we'll have to accept the forced syllabus and move on without whining. So that's all that happened in the last month in my life.

And yes, I met my darling e-friend Arpita for the first time last Saturday. Could talk for just an hour and a half but every second was magical. She is even sweeter in person. It was so amazing meeting her and her mum and li'l sister :D Am so looking forward to meeting them again.
Without much ado lets go over to the pics :)

A warm welcome to all the new friends who joined in as followers. Hope to interact a lot with you.

Till next
Love
Swarnali

Meeting Swarnali

Hello, beautiful world! (Okay, I got into the habit of saying that because of Ian Somerhalder's tweets.) I have had an exciting month of sorts and got caught up with a number of things which sadly kept me from finishing off the story I was writing. And while I wanted to post the final part of "When It Rained..." before writing about the million other things on my mind right now, I couldn't resist telling you about my plans for the day.

Guess where I'm heading? To China! I'm going to Yunnan University with my Mum and kid sister to visit my Dad who is the guest professor there at the moment. And guess who I'll be meeting today? Swarnali!! I'll take the flight to China from Kolkata and I'll meet her at the airport for the very first time! I can hardly wait. :D This is going to be SO exciting; when we first got to know each other, neither of us guessed we'd end up being such good friends. Nor had we expected to meet anytime soon because I live all the way in Delhi. It came as a pleasant surprise when I found out we'll pass by Kolkata and while it's sad that I won't get to go around the city this time, I know meeting Swarnali would make up for it.

So my next post will be all about our first 'real' conversation, but only if I manage to access blogger there in China. If not, then I am sure to be back in another week with the conclusion of my story and the anecdote about meeting my darling pen pal! Until then, hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
