Mini haul

This happened a few days back...Debopriya was out searching for the perfect bag to gift her mom and requested me to accompany her in the search and as always I couldn't resist window shopping with her !! And guess what,we didn't find the so called "perfect" bag for auntie dear but ended up buying a few trinkets and stuff :D
Take a look at what I bought-

A pair of pretty rose bib studs in royal blue,I simply fell in love with the color, couldn't help buying it!!

A cute bracelet. Do you notice the super cute fish bone charm ?? I fastened teh charm to my plain chain and lo, I have a new charm pendant!! :D

A pair of antique gold colored jhumkas. I have been smitten by the jhumka bug for sometime,so had to buy this one...

A pair of colorful danglers, the earrings look better than here :P

Am so much in love with colors that I couldn't resist buying another pair!!

A slide chain neck piece...please notice the pretty butterfly  charm(and yes, that butterfly is the reason why I bought it!!)

I have been wanting to buy a tribal neck piece and earring set for some time, buy for some reasons (read severe economic crisis) couldn't buy one. Spotted this one at a roadside shop and couldn't help grabbing it. Debopriya also bought one(We were drooling over this one you see!!  :P).

And yes the best part,Masi dear has been too kind lately. Dunno how she read my mind but I received a surprise gift from her last week. A silver ring with faux diamonds. Am totally loving it,its super awesome. Thanks a bunch masi,I love you...mwaah...
couldn't take  a good pic of it,so here is a pic from the internet which looks almost the same  as mine(mine is more feminine and better ;) )-

So what are your opinions about my mini haul?? Do let me know which ones you liked the most.

Sayonara till next!!

Nail art and li'l DIYs again!!

Went out visiting the zoo with my li'l niece (yes its the same trip I had mentioned earlier) and was mesmerized by the gorgeous leopard (no not scary gorgeous,it was the OMG its freaking gorgeous). Plus spotted Leia's leopard print nails a few days back and couldn't resist trying it out myself. Take a look-
I agree, pics aren't really flattering, but believe me,the thing looked really cool in real (but definitely not as good as Leia's!!).
Here take a look at what the Leopard looked like.

Then was smitten by the heart symbol and thought of sporting it on my nails...take  a look-

I tried out making another bow hair clip for Drisha and a floral headband for my niece, here is how they look-

All pics were taken from my phone (a 2MP cam),you see I don't own a must-have cam :(

Never mind my woes,I would love to know which one you liked.

Take care

Here are a few questions I spotted while going through Leia's blog and thought of a post here with my answers to the questions she asked-
1. What's your favorite vegetable, and how do you cook/season/eat it?
-> My favorite veggie is Carrot and I love eating it raw and as Gajar ka halwa (carrot pudding).
2. What's your favorite thing about where you live?
-> I live in Kolkata and my favorite thing about the place is you never get the time to be     bored!!! There is always something or the other happening here.
3. If were to donate to a charity, what kind of charity would it be?
-> I would love to donate (when I get a job) to an orphanage or to an old age home.
4. Do you play an instrument? If yes, which one, and if no, which one would you like to play?
-> No I can't,how I wish I could . *sigh* Would love to play the Guitar and the Piano.
5. What book are you reading right now?
-> Post Colonial Studies by Leela Gandhi. No raised eyebrows please,I have an exam coming next month and am supposed to be studying :P (If there were no exams,I would have been reading Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children)
6. What's your favorite aspect of blogging (writing your own or reading other blogs?)
-> Reading other blogs (am addicted to reading blogs,so much so that I forget writing my posts !!)

Click Clack

Hullo everyone !!

Its been ages since I wrote my last post...Sorry was busy studying for exams (its kind of a series, next one coming again in January  so loads of  studies still pending :( )
Anyways will share a few pics with you that I clicked sometime back-

Thats bestie Drisha, pic taken at college

Clearly i didn't click this one (thanks Drisha for this one),taken at a Jain Temple,Kolkata
This is one of my favorite pics, the red from my tunic and the green all around make a wonderful color riot.
Did you notice the li'l plant just behind me?? It looks like I've put on some fancy head gear :D

Visited the zoo sometime back with my li'l niece. Reminded me of the days when I went there years back as a toddler. This is the best pic of the lot.

P.S.-all the pics were taken from the cam in my phone,so please bear with the not-so-good quality of the pics.
